Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the Skipwash mobile application (available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store) or website operated by Skipwash Corp. ("Skipwash", "we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, accessing, or using our service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using the Skipwash app, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our services and should uninstall the app.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email. Your continued use of Skipwash after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Eligibility
To use Skipwash, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
- Reside in a building or area where Skipwash services are available.
- Provide accurate, current, and complete account information.
Skipwash is not intended for use by children under 13. If you are between 13 and 17, you may only use Skipwash with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
3. Account Registration & Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Notify us immediately at support@skipwash.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
- You may not create more than one account, transfer your account to another person, or use another person's account without authorization.
4. Orders & Cancellations
When you place an order through Skipwash, you agree that:
- Orders must be placed before the stated pickup deadline for your building (typically Monday by 10 AM).
- You are responsible for ensuring your bag is dropped at the designated location by the stated deadline.
- Orders cancelled at least 24 hours before scheduled pickup receive a full refund.
- Orders cancelled within 24 hours of pickup may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the order value.
- Orders that have already been picked up cannot be cancelled.
Skipwash reserves the right to cancel or refuse orders in cases of suspected policy abuse, service unavailability, or safety concerns.
5. Subscriptions & Recurring Billing
Skipwash offers optional weekly subscription plans ("Plans"). By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring weekly basis at the plan rate displayed at time of purchase.
Subscription Terms
- Subscriptions automatically renew each week unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- The renewal charge occurs 24 hours before the start of each billing cycle.
- You will receive an in-app notification and email at least 3 days before any price change takes effect on your subscription.
Cancelling Your Subscription
- iOS (App Store): Open the Settings app → Your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Skipwash → Cancel Subscription.
- Android (Google Play): Open Google Play Store → Profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Skipwash → Cancel subscription.
- In-app: Settings → Subscription → Manage → Cancel.
- Via email: support@skipwash.com with subject "Cancel Subscription".
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial-period refunds are issued for subscription cancellations, except where required by applicable law.
Skip a Week
You may pause your subscription for any individual week up to 24 hours before your scheduled pickup. The week is simply skipped with no charge.
Free Trials
If you start a free trial, your payment method will be charged at the regular subscription rate at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before it ends. Trial eligibility is limited to one trial per customer.
6. In-App Purchases
Skipwash offers one-time order purchases and subscription plans within the app. All in-app purchases:
- Are processed through Stripe for direct purchases made via the Skipwash web or app checkout.
- Prices are displayed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and include applicable taxes.
- Are non-transferable and may not be resold.
7. Refund Policy
Service Quality — Re-Clean Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with the cleaning quality, contact us at support@skipwash.com within 48 hours of delivery, including photos documenting the issue. We will arrange a complimentary re-clean at no cost. This guarantee applies to one re-clean per order.
Lost or Damaged Items
In the unlikely event items are lost or damaged while in our care, we will investigate and offer compensation of up to $150 CAD per item, capped at $500 CAD per order. Items of exceptional value (jewellery, electronics, cash, heirlooms) must not be included in laundry bags.
Refund Requests
- Refund requests must be submitted via email within 5 business days of delivery.
- Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
- Subscription refunds follow the policy in Section 5 above.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Skipwash for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Submit items containing hazardous, illegal, or controlled substances.
- Abuse the re-clean guarantee or refund policy through fraudulent claims.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the app or backend systems.
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or abuse promotional offers.
Violation of this section may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
9. Vendor Obligations
Skipwash partners with vetted third-party laundry facilities ("Vendors"). Vendors must:
- Meet Skipwash's quality standards for washing, drying, and folding.
- Follow garment care label instructions where visible.
- Maintain appropriate insurance for items in their possession.
- Return all items in the same or better condition than received.
- Comply with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
10. Delivery Partner Obligations
Independent delivery partners using the Skipwash Delivery Partner app must:
- Maintain a valid driver's licence and appropriate vehicle insurance.
- Handle all customer bags with care and follow Skipwash handling procedures.
- Complete assigned routes accurately and on time.
- Not open, tamper with, or remove items from customer bags.
- Comply with all applicable traffic laws during pickups and deliveries.
Delivery partners are independent contractors, not employees of Skipwash.
11. Intellectual Property
All content in the Skipwash app and website — including the name, logo, design, text, graphics, and software — is owned by or licensed to Skipwash Corp. and protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any Skipwash content without our prior written consent.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Skipwash app and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Skipwash and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill.
- Damage or loss arising from items of exceptional value placed in a laundry bag without prior written notification.
- Service interruptions caused by events outside our reasonable control (force majeure).
Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim, or $100 CAD, whichever is greater.
14. Account Termination & Deletion
Termination by You
You may delete your account at any time:
- In-app: Settings → Account → Delete Account, or
- By emailing support@skipwash.com with subject "Account Deletion Request".
Upon account deletion, all personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days, except data retained for legal/accounting purposes.
Termination by Skipwash
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, if we determine that you have breached these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or if required by applicable law.
15. App Store & Google Play Terms
Apple App Store
- These Terms are between you and Skipwash only, not Apple.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Skipwash app.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms.
Google Play
- These Terms are between you and Skipwash only, not Google LLC.
- Google LLC is not responsible for the Skipwash app or its content.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes via in-app notification and/or email before they take effect.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
